San Luis Castle

The Castillo de San Luis in Estepona’s Old Town is the oldest building left standing in the area! The castle was built by order of Queen Isabella I of Castile in the mid 15th century, in the hopes of protecting Costa del Sol from Moorish invaders. Nowadays San Luis is the star of the Centro Historico, and is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks.
